Joseph Marlon Lieberman is the son of American actress Marilu Henner and director Robert Lieberman. Joseph is famous largely due to his mother Marilu who has starred in various movies including LA Story, Taxi, Noises Off, The Man Who Loved Women among many.

Joseph Marlon Lieberman’s Family

Joseph Marlon Lieberman was born to the famous American actress, Marilu Henner and motion pictures director Robert Lieberman in 1995. Joseph’s mother Marilu Henner was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 6, 1952. She is a leading actress, author and producer best known for her roles in Taxi (1978), Noises Off, and L.A. Story (1991). (1992).  Michael Brown and she have been married since 2006. She was also married to Frederic Forrest and Robert Lieberman earlier.

Joseph’s father Robert Lieberman married Marilu in 1990 and together they had Joseph in 1995 but due to some reasons the duo divorced in 2001. D3: The Mighty Ducks, the third instalment of one of Disney’s most popular franchises, is directed by Joseph’s father, Robert Lieberman. After directing Jon Voight in Table for Five in 1982, the year after he won the Best Actor Oscar for Coming Home, he went on to make seven other movies, including Fire in the Sky and All I Want for Christmas with Thora Birch, Leslie Nielson, and Lauren Bacall.

Joseph Marlon Lieberman’s Career

Joseph, who appears to be following in his mother’s career path as a writer and comedian, describes himself as such. He is very much active on Instagram as well. He is yet to establish himself completely though and we hope to see him as successful as his parents. Talking about his parents, his mother, Marilu Henner created the role of “Marty” in the Kingston Mines production of Grease in 1971 while a student at the University of Chicago in Chicago’s Hyde Park. She was requested to reprise the part after the production was found and transported to Broadway, but she opted to portray “Marty” in the national touring company.

Henner also appeared in the Broadway revivals of Pal Joe and Chicago, in addition to Over Here! with Travolta. Her first film role was in the 1977 sleeper smash Between the Lines, which also starred Lindsay Crouse, John Heard, and Jill Eikenberry, all of whom were then unknown. In the 1978 picture Blood brothers, she played the opposite of Richard Gere in her second appearance.

Henner rose to fame playing the single mother and cab driver Elaine Nardo in the situation comedy Taxi who had aspirations of becoming an artist. Joseph’s father Robert Lieberman, who founded the ad production company Harmony Pictures, has personally directed nearly 2,000 advertisements. He has 29 Clio wins and numerous nominations. The inaugural recipient of the DGA Award for Best Commercial Director was Lieberman in 1980.  He had three additional nominations for the DGA Award before taking home his second prize in 1996.
